December, 2025 School Newsletter
Happy Holidays!
This holiday season, may your homes be filled with warmth, laughter, and the love of family and friends. As we take this time to celebrate, let’s also reflect on the many moments of growth, achievement, and joy our students have experienced together this year.
I am deeply proud of the ADS community — of our dedicated staff, our curious and resilient students, and our supportive families who make our school such a special place to learn and grow. Every success, small or large, is a reflection of the care, collaboration, and heart that each of you brings to our community.
May this season bring you rest, gratitude, and the simple joys that remind us what truly matters. Wishing you all a peaceful and happy holiday season, and a bright start to the new year ahead.

Christmas Baskets
Our annual Christmas food drive has started! You will be able to send non-perishable items to school that will be used to garnish our Christmas baskets. To encourage donations, we are setting a few goals to reach along the way. Each goal met will be accompanied by a fun activity for all our students. If your family is in need of a Christmas basket, please send an email to Ms.Jeannik at bachandj@etsb.qc.ca
Popcorn Fundraiser 🍿
The popcorn fundraiser went very well. We raised $1032 to go towards student activities. Thank you to all for your support!
CLC Corner
On November 26th, Agir et Alimenter generously served a delicious Caesar salad to every student in the school—made with lettuce grown by our Grade 3 students in the new garden tower right in the cafeteria. We are thrilled to continue this wonderful partnership with Agir et Alimenter.
Looking ahead, our intergenerational activities are in full swing:
December 3rd: Grade 4 students, accompanied by Isabelle Lodge (CLC Coordinator) and Ms. Coté, will visit l’Auberge le Louis d'Or in Danville to participate in a special activity and share meaningful moments with the seniors.
December 11th: Mr. Smith and Ms. Viens will bring the K4 and Grade 5 students to the Wales Home to take part in their cherished holiday bingo tradition.
Our community connections continue to grow, and we are grateful for every opportunity to learn, share, and build bridges across generations.
Reminders
Winter Clothing: Please be reminded that children must be dressed for the weather as they spend a significant amount of time outside at recess and lunchtime and at times in phys. Ed classes. Regardless of grade, snow pants are a must as are warm coats, boots, mittens, neck warmers, and hats. Students who are not wearing snowpants will be asked to remain on the pavement and those who aren't wearing hats/mitts will not be allowed to slide or play in the Rough and Tumble Zone (once it is opened).
Healthy Practices :We must remind you that a sick student (fever, gastro, flu, etc.) should not come to school. The student should stay home until feeling able to attend regular classes. In case of an accident or sudden illness occurring during school hours, parents will be notified and should take charge of their child as soon as possible. Parents are always the main responsible persons for their child. In the best interest of our students, it is essential that emergency contact information be provided and be updated whenever there are modifications. If a taxi or ambulance is needed, the charge will have to be paid by the parents.
School Fees: Please note that school fees are due to be paid. In order to have your tax receipt issued, fees must be paid prior to December 31st. Your child’s invoice can be found on the Mozaïk parent portal. If you have any questions, please contact the office. If you are sending the payment with your child, please make sure it is in a sealed envelope with his/her name and reason (ex: daycare, school fees) clearly indicated.
