Dear Eggert Families,

Happy October! It’s hard to believe we are already beginning a new month. We are so proud of how our students have settled into their routines and are continuing to learn, grow, and make connections each day at Eggert.

We have some exciting events coming up this month:

📸 Picture Day – October 14th
Be sure to mark your calendars! Flyers have been sent home in backpacks. The digital flyer is below. You can scan the QR code to order a package through Upstate Images. Please have your child picture ready! Even if you do not intend on buying a package, they will still be photographed for the yearbook.

🎃 Trunk or Treat – October 23rd
We are looking forward to a fun evening for our Eggert families! Thank you to our PTO and everyone who helps make special events like this possible. We hope to see many of you there!

As we move into October, we want to thank you for your continued partnership and support. We appreciate everything you do to help make Eggert such a wonderful place for our students. We are looking forward to all that this month has in store!

Arrival

• Please do not pull into the parking lot until 9:05 a.m. Staff are arriving from other buildings and need access to parking spots.

• Follow the directions of our staff members directing traffic.

• Remain in your car and follow the loop around the parking lot. Continue to pull forward as directed—staff will assist your child in getting out of the car.

• Please make sure you child is ready with their belongings and unbuckled when the Eggert Staff Member comes to your car.

Dismissal

• Please ensure your car tag is visible.

• Follow the directions of our staff members directing traffic.

• Remain in your car and follow the loop around the parking lot. Continue to pull forward as directed—staff will walk students to cars

• Please make sure to stay in your vehicle until a staff member loads your child into the passenger side of your backseat.

Notes & Parent Portal

• If your child will be picked up, please make sure this is entered in the parent portal or send a written note with your child.

• Pick-up notes from last year do not carry over into this school year.

For the safety of all students and staff, our school parking lots will remain closed to vehicles arriving for dismissal pick-up until 2:55 p.m.

Keeping the lots clear during the school day allows emergency vehicles to access our buildings quickly if needed and helps us to maintain a safe, and orderly environment for everyone.

We appreciate your cooperation and support in keeping our school campuses safe and accessible.

Mrs. Rebecca Banks, our school nurse, will be available during Open House until 6:00pm. If your child requires medication at school, please bring all medications, doctor’s notes, and required forms with you.

Important: Medications must be dropped off by an adult. They cannot be sent in with your child once school begins.
