Happy Homecoming Week! Students look forward to this week to varying degrees. Some students are all in to the activities, games, themes, etc. Others are more reserved, particularly those students new to the school or those students who are more socially isolated. Providing routine and structure in your classroom will serve all students well.

Students love to see your school spirit! If you are comfortable, we encourage you to participate in the theme days this week and attend homecoming events. Casual dress is also acceptable. As always, please remember we often have visitors in the building.

Congratulations to JROTC and our newly named Diamond Officers! We extend a special thank you to all of those involved in the promotions and ceremony. Diamond Promotions a highlight and sense of pride for CDH!

e-Hall Pass:

A big thank you to everyone who is using e-Hall Pass. After looking at the data for the past two weeks, it seems that the biggest issue right now is teachers/students forgetting to end the passes. We know the classroom is a busy place and encourage you to use student-initiated passes when appropriate. Please do your best to remember to end passes when needed and remind students to end them as well. If you need help learning how to set up the student-initiated Auto Pass, please let us know!

Enriching Students:

If you want to override the number of students you have in your flex, you should go to Appointments->Create an Appointment->Advanced Appointment. Make sure you click on your department and then your name on the left side of the page before filling out the rest of the information. Then make sure that Auto Increase Seat Count is checked before saving. If you need help, stop in and see Amy when you can.

SST:

SST meets each Friday morning to discuss students who are struggling academically, socially, behaviorally, or with attendance. Please refer students for whom you have concerns using this form. A counselor or Dean will follow up with you after our meeting.
