As we close out another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU! Thank you for your partnership, your support, and for entrusting us with the opportunity to be part of your student’s journey. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and meaningful moments, both big and small, that remind us why we do what we do.
To our students: I am so proud of all you’ve accomplished. You’ve worked hard, grown stronger, and shown resilience through every challenge.
To our families: Your encouragement and involvement make all the difference. We truly couldn’t do this without you.
As we head into summer, I hope your break is filled with rest, laughter, and time to recharge. Whether you’re traveling, relaxing, or planning for the year ahead, I hope you find moments of joy and reflection along the way.
Wishing you all a safe, fun, and restful summer. We’ll be here, already looking forward to welcoming you back in the fall.

As previously shared, below is the schedule for final exams:
Spring Exam Schedule
- Monday, May 19 - A Day
- Tuesday, May 20 - B Day
- Wednesday, May 21 - A Day Exams
- Thursday, May 22 - B Day Exams
- Friday, May 23 - All 8-periods (Make-Up Exams)/Last Day of School
Important Notes:
Students are expected to attend school even if they do not have an exam in a class.
Make-up exams should be arranged in advance with individual teachers.
Please encourage your student to prepare ahead of time, get plenty of rest, and reach out to their teachers with any questions. As always, thank you for your continued support in helping our students finish the school year strong!
We’ll hold our school-wide locker clean-out on Tuesday, May 20, during the last 15 minutes of 8th period. Trash cans will be placed throughout the hallways so students can easily discard unwanted items.
Important Reminder: Lockers not cleaned out will have locks cut, and remaining contents will be donated.
Caps, Gowns & Announcements
Students must wear a cap and gown to participate in the graduation ceremony. If you have not ordered your cap and gown unit, you can still order by calling Herff Jones at (740) 357-2160 or by clicking here, and pay in full with a credit card/debit card. They will also be available for purchase by cash or money order during graduation rehearsal on May 23. All sales are final. If you ordered graduation announcements, they will ship directly to your home.
Graduation Rehearsal
There is a mandatory graduation practice on Friday, May 23 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) in the GLHS Auditorium. No student will be excused from graduation rehearsal. If students do not attend they will not be able to walk at graduation.
Graduation
Graduation will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 9:30 AM at The Schottenstein Center on the Ohio State University campus. 555 Borror Drive, Columbus. Graduates are expected to arrive at 8:30 AM.
As we near the big day, we want to share a few details with you regarding our graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025. Click here to read the graduation instructions for the Class of 2025.
Parking for the upcoming 2025-26 school year will be extremely limited due to ongoing construction of our new high school, which is projected to open in January 2026.
Parking applications will be available on our school website starting today, Monday, May 19, at 9:00 a.m. As a reminder, students are applying for the privilege to park at designated areas near GLHS, including but not limited to Clark Hall, Peace Lutheran, Schull Park and Gahanna Community Congregational Church.
Please note that there will be NO student parking available on main campus of GLHS during the school day from 7:30am-3:45pm for the entire 2025-26 academic school year. We highly encourage families to plan accordingly for transportation and parking alternatives.
We advise students and families to submit their online applications promptly, as parking spots will be allocated to rising juniors and seniors only on a first-come, first-served basis.
