***DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PERMISSION SLIPS IS TUESDAY OCTOBER 7th***
We are requesting a $20 donation per student. Scholarships are available upon request. Space is limited. No refunds, excess funds will go to future field trips and activities.
Event Information
This school year our school will be hosting an overnight field trip to Marin Headlands through the program NatureBridge. This will be a three day/two night trip from March 9th - 11th 2026. This trip will offer students the opportunity to engage in inclusive, hands-on learning experiences in on one of the San Francisco Bay Area's most beautiful coastal locations.
There are 150 reserved spots, so the first 150 students that return the permission slips will be saved (To maintain a positive and productive learning environment, students who exhibit ongoing discipline issues may be asked to refrain from attending until appropriate improvements are made). We will also create a wait list as needed.
To offset the cost of the trip, we are asking for a donation of $350 from each student that attends. To pay the donation, we will accept cash, checks made out to "Barrett Middle School," or online payment through My Schoolbucks using the link below.
Chaperones will be needed for this trip. We are looking for nine parents/guardians who have either been fingerprinted and approved by the school district for Barrett or are willing to get fingerprinted/approved by December.
There will be an information meeting about this trip in January 2026 regarding packing/FAQs and chaperone responsibilities. If you have any other questions, please contact your student's English teacher.
The San Juan Unified School District offers a variety of Workshops and Events for our families to enjoy. Visit sanjuan.edu/familyed for more information and to register for events!
