KAES Keenections

What was great just got better. This week we received our sod to cover all the open dirt left over from the construction of the new walkway. It just adds to this great space.

Those of you who are new to our KAES forever family may ask, "What is an Eagle Launch?" When one of our KAES students decides to follow Jesus and be baptized we like to celebrate with an eagle launch. We use the symbol of the fledging eagle to recognize this big decision they have made. Recognizing they are still young and need support. We celebrate their decision as an eagle launch. They receive a picture of their baptism signed by teachers, pastors, and friends. We cheer them on and their homeroom teacher prays for them. Over the summer we had Ashley, Olivia, Alegra, Luis O., Luis P., and Jonathan all get baptized and we celebrated their eagle launch today.

One of the great things about being connected to Southwestern Adventist University are the partnerships. This week 1st grade was able to go to the SWAU gym and recieve PE instruction from preservice teachers. Each class will get the opportunity to visit SWAU and recieve PE instruction over the next eight weeks.

Lunch order is to be placed with the homeroom teacher each day.

Monday - Tostada, white rice, salad, and a drink.

Tuesday - Croissant veggie turkey sandwich, potato chips, ambrosia salad, and a drink.

Wednesday - Lasagna, garlic bread, salad, and a drink.

Thursday - Sopes, mexican rice, salad, and a drink.

Grandparents Day - hotdog, french fries, carrots sticks, dessert, and juice or milk.
