ORES Newsletter
March 31, 2023
Dear Oak Ridge Families,
DUE TO PENDING SEVERE WEATHER, ALL AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING AFTER SCHOOL CARE FOR EARLY CHILHOOD THROUGH 12TH GRADE HAVE BEEN CANCELLED FOR TODAY. SCHOOL WILL DISMISS AT THE NORMAL TIME TODAY.
April is here! Remember we will have no school April 6-10th. We only have 36 days of school until summer break. To close out March, teachers celebrated March with March Madness dress up days. We hope you enjoy some of the funny pictures from this week! I have included information about Mom and Son Night of Fun, The Glow Dance, and Pastries with Parents below.
Fourth and fifth grade classes will visit Jefferson City this Wednesday, April 5th. Have students wear a blue shirt. Students need to be at school at 5:15am. The bus will leave promptly at 5:30am. Do not bring blankets, snacks, water bottles, or anything extra. We have water bottles and breakfast planned for students as well as lunch, dinner, first aid kits, emergency information and needed supplies as well as all other needed items for students on the trip. Any items brought by students will be left in the classroom for the day.
Third grade will have a day visit to Flickerwood farms on April 26th. Information will be sent home next week.
Please see the MAP testing schedule below and ensure students are present for testing.
Play day shirt order and other information will be sent home with students within the week. Watch for this information and get it back to school as soon as possible. PLEASE TURN IN PLAY DAY VOLUNTEER AND DONATION FORMS BY APRIL 14TH.
Don't forget to purchase your 22-23 yearbook!
We are winding down the year. Please pay lunch bills, before/after school care bills, early childhood bills, or any other fees as soon as possible.
Have a restful weekend with family!
Sincerely,
Sonia Wood
