We had a packed 4 day week at the Lab!
On Tuesday we held our Middle School Transition event for 4th and 5th grade families. We welcomed 90 registered guests across 6 neighboring elementary schools. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive and I must extend a huge amount of gratitude to the PTA and Allie Pearlman-Sax particularly, for assistance in making the event a success. We know that some families wanted to attend, but had conflicts, so we have gathered presenters information here, if you wish to access.
A reminder that a message went out to 5th grade families on Wednesday morning sharing 6th grade orientation information for Ridgely and Dumbarton middle schools. It is also attached again here.
Also on Tuesday evening, the Board of Education approved a calendar update for the last day of school. Because we did not use any snow days, the final day of school this year is now Tuesday June 13th, with both the 12th and 13th as 1:05 dismissal days for Lutherville Lab.
Thursday morning was Box Day for the Primary students in the morning. This is a truly joyful morning inspired by the children's book "Not a Box" and a celebration of imagination and play. Please enjoy the pictures. Thank you to Mrs. McGee for her spirited leadership, the collaboration of the primary team, and all families who sent in boxes to make it happen!
We are in the swing of a busy spring season! Next week we are looking forward to Drama Club performance, Trout Release field trip, and next Saturday is the Spring Clean up Event on April 29th, 10am-2pm at LLab school grounds. We are looking for volunteers and for flowers/ plants to be donated. Check the Sign up!
On the horizon we are planning for the Spring Family Night, Fun Run, and Sports Day! Please find information about each below! Finally, if your family is like mine....we're planning for summer. There are a few
summer camps that have asked us to pass along information, which is attached. Don't miss out on Mr. Bruns' LL summer sports camp, of course!
It's the most fun-packed time of the year. The days are long but the weeks are short!
