Message from the Principal

Greetings Families,

I hope this long weekend provides some additional time to gather with loved ones and make some lasting memories. As I reflect on all the things I am grateful for, being a part of the Jefferson community is on my list. I am proud to serve this amazing community and will continue to work with all its members to ensure Jefferson is a welcoming place for all who are connected to us.

Now for some of the exciting news I get to share about the past few weeks...

I wanted to thank our community for turning out to vote on November 7th. Jefferson is slotted to be a part of the spring of 2025 renovation timeline for our Secure Offices.

We have our first round of fall conferences in the books. It was wonderful to see all the families and students attend and make connections with staff around their students'progress. It's through these connections we continue to strengthen our partnership with families in ensuring we are working together to support students with their growing and learning.

Randy the Magician made an appearance at Jefferson. It was so heartwarming to watch student marvel in awe of the magic happening right before their eyes! Thank you again to the PTO for arranging this special experience for our students.

Jefferson also had their School Wide GLOW PARTY to celebrate meeting that milestone in our Jefferson Jog fundraiser. A special thanks to our PTO for all their time and talents to set up and manage this special event for our learning community. Check out the pictures below!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our food drive. We collected 180 pounds of food that was picked up on Friday by the Echo Food Shelf. So proud of our JAGS and their positive contribution to the community!!!

Everything we do is intentional in fulfilling our District mission: Mankato Area Public Schools (MAPS) is committed to working together equitably, with families and communities, so that each learner has the knowledge and skills to be a successful and contributing citizen in a diverse global society.

Bowling Unit in PhyEd

Students K-5th enjoyed a bowling unit in their PhyEd classes this past month. Students worked on all aspects of the game including form and concepts. Ms. Kroehler used games to teach these concepts in a fun way.
