Foothill Community,

Welcome to the heart of the fall season! We are approaching some of the most exciting weeks of the year—filled with school events, celebrations, and opportunities to come together as a community.

From spirit days to performances and fall traditions, there’s so much to look forward to. These moments not only bring joy and connection but also remind us how special our school community truly is.

We still need one more parent/community member for Site Council. The nomination form is below:

Students will need to bring their Chromebooks - to school for daily use. We will NOT have extras in the classroom for students to use so it is IMPERATIVE they remember to charge and bring each day.

It is recommended that families purchase insurance for their student's Chromebooks. The cost is $24.95 https://securranty.com/mdusd here is a link to purchase insurance.

7th-grade students will participate in our school’s California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), sponsored by the California Department of Education, from November 12 to November 18. This survey gathers information about the developmental support available to youth. If you do not wish for your student to participate in the survey, please follow this link to complete the opt-out form.

Participation in the CHKS is Voluntary. Students who, with your permission, agree to participate do not have to
answer any questions they do not want to answer, and may stop taking the survey at any time.

Participation in the CHKS is Anonymous. No names are recorded or attached to the survey forms or data. The
results will be made available for analysis only under strict confidentiality controls.
