Early On Center for Higher Education
This Community of Practice brings together faculty from Michigan’s 2-year and 4-year institutions who prepare future professionals to work with infants and toddlers, birth to age three, with delays and/or disabilities and their families. Our CoP offers a collaborative space to exchange experiences, ideas, tools, and resources that strengthen preservice preparation in early intervention. We welcome you to connect, contribute, and stay informed as we work together to support the development of Michigan’s birth-to-three workforce.

This webinar provides a guide for early intervention providers to master foundational skills for conducting accurate, family-friendly, and comprehensive evaluations. Participants will learn to integrate core principles, including family-centered and individualized approaches, into their practice and explore the role of the multidisciplinary team in understanding a child's development. The training focuses on selecting and administering appropriate assessment tools and using observation in natural environments to gather meaningful data. By enhancing skills in interpreting results and communicating with families, this session empowers providers to ensure every evaluation is a positive, collaborative, and ethical experience.
