International Men's Day
Check out our campus colleagues who selected this diversity category.
Gratitude Tree
This is one our favorite activities, because students from different classrooms bring our gratitude tree to life by adding messages of thanks to its leaves.
Educator Resources
Spring Course Registration Dates...Prepare your students for the next level.
Preparing your students before they sit down with the counselors can ensure a smooth course registration process. Counselors can give the students facts about courses, but we are unable to promote courses or programs. As teachers, you are the experts of your prospective programs and courses. The input you can provide our students is invaluable.
We will complete course registrations with our students on the following dates:
11th grade- January 13-17
8th grade- January 22 & 23
10th grade- February 10-14
9th grade- February 18-25
Coping with Grief
Grief is how we respond to loss. Grief is not always centered around death and no one experiences grief in the same way. When supporting others dealing with grief, it is important to listen them. Please refrain from telling someone that you know how they are feeling because our experiences are unique. Please take few minutes to read the impactful article about grief below.
Employee Assistance Program
We as educators are human beings with real life traumas and challenging circumstances in our lives outside of work. Some of us are dealing with struggles in our mental health. Reaching out for help is a superpower not a weakness. NISD has a resource that may be beneficial to you called the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP can be accessed by calling The Standard 1-888-293-6948 or visiting http://members.healthadvocate.com/.
