Dear Families,

November is here, and we have so many exciting things happening at Sanchez Elementary!

Thank you for helping make Career Day a success! Our scholars had a wonderful time learning about different careers and exploring the many possibilities for their futures. We appreciate all our presenters, families, and staff who helped make this experience so special!

As we continue through the second six weeks, our teachers are working hard to help every scholar grow academically and socially. We also have benchmark assessments scheduled throughout November. Please be on the lookout for a message from your child's teacher with the specific testing dates. Making sure our scholars are present, well-rested, and ready to do their best is very important!

Coming Up This Month:

• Veterans Day Celebration – Monday, November 9: This year, we will honor our veterans on November 9 due to student testing scheduled on Veterans Day. We look forward to recognizing and thanking our heroes for their service!

• 3rd Grade PTO Performance – Monday, November 16: Join us as our talented third graders take the stage!

• Fossum Middle School Theater & Art Department Presentation – Wednesday, November 18: Our scholars will have the opportunity to enjoy a special presentation showcasing creativity and the arts.

• Classroom Thanksgiving activities- Depends on your child's grade level: Teachers will plan a special Thanksgiving for our scholars and 2 adults. So be ready to receive and invitation to this special activity.

• Gratitude & Kindness Week: A special time to celebrate kindness, appreciation, and helping others.

• Thanksgiving Break: A wonderful opportunity for our scholars and families to rest, recharge, and spend quality time together!

We encourage all our scholars to continue attending school every day, especially during our upcoming benchmark assessments. Remember, our campus attendance goal is 97%, and every scholar makes a difference!

Thank you for being such an important part of our Sanchez family. We look forward to another month filled with learning, celebrations, and wonderful memories!

Dear Scholars and Parents,

October was filled with fun and meaningful activities, and I want to give a big thank you to everyone who helped make them such a success! From our amazing Career Day presenters to our wonderful parents who dressed our scholars for each themed event, your support made October unforgettable. We also loved seeing everyone's enthusiasm during Red Ribbon Week!

As we step into November, our focus for classroom guidance lessons will be on Relationship Skills learning how to build positive friendships, communicate respectfully, work together, and develop healthy relationships with others. We'll also celebrate Veterans Day and Gratitude & Kindness Week, so be on the lookout for those special themed days!

Let's continue spreading kindness, building friendships, and making November another wonderful month at Sanchez Elementary!
