“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
-Psalm 107:1
Dear Saint Ambrose Parents,
Happy Thanksgiving! Know that I encouraged your children to help clean, do dishes and be excellent conversationalists at family Thanksgiving gatherings. I am looking forward to time with family and my favorite sweet potato cake. Today marks the end of the first Trimester; report cards will be sent home next Friday, December 5.
Other notes:
- Cold weather is upon us. Thank you for helping students bring warm clothing for recess and waiting outdoors for parent pick-up or bus loading.
- The Feast of Saint Ambrose is Sunday, December 7. We will honor our patron with activities and prayers on Friday, December 5.
- December 5th - SWARM Shirt Day!
- On Monday, December 8th we will gather to worship at an All School Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception at 9:45. This will be a Mass for our school community.
- On Wednesday, December 10 students in grades 3-8 will participate in the parish Day of Mercy, receiving the sacrament of reconciliation. Our 360 security partners will provide security in the commons during school hours.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
As we begin the season of Advent this weekend, many of you have already created beautiful season’s greetings. We would love to display your family Christmas cards in the main hallway again this year! Please send your cards to the school office so we can share in the holiday cheer together.
Heavenly Father, I'm grateful for who you are.
Thank you for your unchanging nature, for showing up in both the beauty and the brokenness. Even when my feelings shift, your goodness is always the same.
Help me to live today with awareness of your presence and appreciation for your kindness.
Amen.

Toy Drive to benefit St. Paul Children’s Hospital
Although spending time in the hospital can be difficult for children and their families, special toys and activities can make their hospital experience less stressful. You can help by providing the gift of new toys, crafts and other items for children of all ages — infants through teens. The 4th graders of St. Ambrose of Woodbury are leading this school-wide effort to assist Children’s Hospital of St. Paul in providing some cheer over the upcoming holidays and beyond!
Here’s How You Can Help:
You can donate new toys, games, and crafts to the bin in your child’s classroom during the week of Monday, December 1st through Friday, December 5th. For a complete list of items needed by the hospital, please click on this link: Children’s Hospital Wishlist. The classroom with the most donations will win a donut party for their room!
Thank you! With your help, we know that we can bring JOY to the faces of children in the hospital this Christmas!
