Hello Walsh Families!

Wednesday is the first day of school for students in grades 1-5! This will be a Late Start (8:50 AM) and Early Dismissal (1:50 PM) day.

If you are driving your child to school, please use our drop off lane on 57th Street. You will pull up and a staff member will open your car door for students. If you walk your child to school, drop off is in the back of the building on the blacktop. Staff will be there to assist children getting into their line.

All students should be at school by 7:45 AM (8:45 AM on Wednesday), as the bell rings to enter the building at 7:50 AM (8:50 AM on Wednesdays). Tardy students should enter Door 1 and check in at the main office. Please help us to get your child here on time for school!

We are so excited to see our students and get this year started. Please reach out to us or our awesome office staff if you have questions.

See you soon!

Please Welcome our New Associate Principal, Mr. Robert Tucker! Please Welcome our New Associate Principal, Mr. Robert Tucker!

I'm so thrilled to be joining the Walsh team and working with our amazing students and their families!

I've been an educator for almost 20 years now, and this is my first year as Associate Principal at Walsh. My journey in education began as a physical education teacher, and I spent the first 7 years of my career in that role. For the past 11 years, I've been a building administrator, serving as a Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal.

My family and I have lived in Garfield Ridge for 16 years now, just on the other side of Harlem. My wife and I are blessed with three wonderful kids, and we love spending our free time playing sports together. We enjoy baseball, softball, wrestling, football, volleyball, and gymnastics.

I'm excited to meet the Walsh Community and kick off the 23-24 school year!
