A Message from Principal Daliposki
Dear PS 199 Families,
October has brought a wonderful rhythm to our school days. Classrooms are settled, routines are strong, and our students are deeply engaged in learning. You can feel the focus and joy in the air, from morning greetings to dismissal. Thank you for your continued partnership and for the many ways you support your children and our school community each day.
This month has been busy! There's been a wonderful buzz throughout PS 199 these past few weeks as students dive deeper into their learning and new experiences. Our classrooms are filled with curiosity, collaboration, and creativity.
Our fifth graders have begun working with City Harvest, learning about food access, nutrition, and how they can make a difference in their community.
Our second graders are partnering with the Hort, engaging in hands-on lessons about plants, growth, and caring for the environment. These sessions bring science to life and help our students see the beauty of the natural world right here at school.
We also had a NED Assembly this week, where students in grades K-5 learned about the power of Never giving up, Encouraging others, and Doing your best. It's was joyful and motivating experience for all.
And don't forget to follow up on Instagram to see the moments of learning and laughter happening every day at PS 199!
From Parent Coordinator Ms. Becco
Dear Falcon Families
As we enter the cold season, please remember to dress your children appropriately for outdoor recess. And PLEASE don't forget our Ice Cream Fridays. Your children really enjoy that weekly treat with their friends.
Please pay attention to your emails and flyers. I am always looking for resources and programs that would benefit your family.
Our calendar below is very full, so make some time to participate in some of our community activities.
The Bachata Dance Lesson should be fun. Join us !
