NHS Student Services
Weeks of November 23rd and 30th
Hello Students and Parents
An important topic that we would like to address is that of "communication." Given that we are in a virtual (and not a face-to-face) environment communication needs to be a top priority. For students this means that they need to be checking their emails on a regular (and at least daily) basis for updates, news, appointments, etc. A student's email is the primary way that school-related things are being communicated. If they are not checking this they are missing out on different opportunities. Students also need to be communicating with their teacher(s) and counselor if they are struggling in a class(es). Do not be afraid to communicate with teachers and counselors. We want to help and are here for you.
Next, if your son/daughter was issued a "U" (or Unknown) grade for the second semester of last year then you will want to read the important information in this link.
Finally, as we begin the holiday season we wanted to take a second to let you all know just how thankful all of us in the Student Services Department are for the opportunity to work with each of you. North is a school full of wonderful, unique students who who have good hearts and who want to do good things in life. We know that these times are unprecedented and not ideal for anyone. Continuing to work together is critical for us all as we work through this. We truly are "better together."
