GMS Falcon Update

Congratulations are in order for GMS 8th grader Tayte Stratton. Tayte was recently awarded a National Junior Honor Society Outstanding Achievement Award. This selection is made in recognition of outstanding achievement in the NJHS pillars of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship. Along with this recognition, Tayte will receive a $500 scholarship.

The Graham Middle and High school Band and Choir Students are set for their spring concerts.

Congratulations to GMS 8th grader Sawyer Breslin who earned an individual Junior High State Wrestling Championship!

The Graham Future Falcons wrestling program brought home 1st place in Division 3 at the Grade School State Championships.

Congratulations to our grade 6 wrestlers who were also individual placers: Wally Sothard is a State Champion! Earning State Runner-up were Barrett Sterner and Jonathon Davenport. Placing 4th was Hunter Lawson, and Daniel Silver placed 5th.

Congratulations to GMS grade 8 students Moxie Evilsizor and Adelyn Guidera who were recently recognized with Platinum Pen Awards from Power of the Pen. This means they have a competition piece that was written during tournament that was so strong they will be published in the the Power of the Pen "Book of Winners."

Additionally, it means that they are automatic State Qualifiers!

This is the first time GMS has had any writer(s) published in the "Book of Winners."

Graham Middle School is hosting a Color Blast 1 mile & 5K run/walk

with proceeds benefiting student organizations and student initiatives

throughout the building.

Date: Saturday, May 2nd

Time: 10:00am runs start (all starting together this year)

Location: Graham Middle & Elementary Schools

Check-in: begins at 9:00am @ GMS (9644 Us Hwy 36 Saint Paris, OH 43072)

Pre-Registration Deadline: Sunday, April 19th @ midnight (if shirt package chosen)

Cost:

Basic Run/Walk Packet $25

Registration Plus Shirt Option $37

Shirt only (no run/walk package) $15

All participants will run through a minimum of 4 color stations in the 1 mile, and 12 total in the 5K. Our goal is 6 each mile.

All participants have the opportunity to participate in the pre-race water balloon fight (helps the color stick to clothing).

All participants and spectators can enjoy the variety of vendors we hope to have.

Additional color packets may be available for sale at the event (cash/check)

**New this year, you can signal “NO COLOR POWDER” the day of the event to prevent being doused directly with powder throughout the race.**
