Grade 1 Learning Outdoors

During January, the Grade Ones and Ms. Reid have taken their learning outside. They have practiced spelling while sliding. They have found shapes and numbers in the world. They have gone on a listening walk to identify the different sounds around us.

Anti-Bullying Day

On February 28th, it was pink shirt day. Pink Shirt Day is an anti-bullying initiative where people wear pink shirts to raise awareness and promote kindness, compassion, and inclusion.

Each student in the school was given a pink or red slip on which to write kind words. Those slips were linked to create the chain "SAY NO TO BULLYING".
