Our district values your feedback! This Spring, we will be asking you to take a brief survey to tell us about your experience with Garland ISD and Kimberlin Academy. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.

Over the next few weeks, your child will be participating in our STAAR Review Camp as we prepare for the upcoming state assessments.

During this time, your child may:

• Travel to different classrooms for review activities

• Work in a small group with a support staff member

• Rotate through review stations with their peers

While this may look a little different than a typical day, our teachers have put a great deal of thought and planning into creating engaging, targeted review experiences for every student. The goal is to help each child feel confident, prepared, and ready to shine on test day!

We’re excited about the learning ahead and appreciate your continued support.

Students tend to do their best work when they are at school on time, testing in the same location as they practiced and on the same date as their peers.

We are able to accommodate six families per grade level for lunch visits. To ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all families, each family may sign up for one visit per month. Additionally, we ask that no more than four visitors attend per student, which includes younger siblings.

Due to the limited number of slots available, it is essential that you inform the school office more than 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend your scheduled visit. This will allow us to open up the spot for another family.

You MUST complete a volunteer application to join your student on Field Trips or volunteer for activities taking place during the school day. If you do not complete the application, you will be turned away from the event.
