Hello Northridge Families,

Last month, our students completed the Beginning-of-Year i-Ready diagnostic assessments in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. We’re encouraged to see overall improvement compared to last year’s results, but we also recognize that there is still important work ahead to ensure all students are on grade level.

Here’s a snapshot of the data:

• ELA:(three grade levels below)

  • 6th Grade: 45%
  • 7th Grade: 51%
  • 8th Grade: 53%

• Math: (three grade levels below)

  • 6th Grade: 32%
  • 7th Grade: 49%
  • 8th Grade: 55%

While these numbers highlight areas of concern, they also help us target instruction and support where it’s needed most. Our teachers are already using this data to guide their lesson planning and interventions. With continued effort and collaboration between school and home, we’re confident our students will make meaningful progress this year.

Ensure students are in uniform every day. The snack cart will be brought out periodically to reward students who are wearing their uniform.

• Wear your uniform everyday.
• Put your phone in the Yondr pouches.
• Bring your chromebook to school everyday.
