Principal's Message
This week is Homecoming Week! We look forward to seeing our families and alumni at our Home Game on Friday evening. There is also our Homecoming Dance on Friday night. The dance ends at 11:00. Students MUST be picked up no later than 11:15. Students not picked up by 11:15 risk not being able to attend a future event.
Attention Class of 2027: Achievers will be here at lunch on Thursday. They are the company that provides our caps and gowns. Please be sure to stop by and see them if you have any questions.
On Tuesday, October 20, the Ursula Meyer Library and Community Center will be hosting a community event from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. The center's parking lot will be closed to accommodate their Trunk or Treat festivities around 2:00 PM. As a result, there will likely be increased vehicle congestion and street parking in the immediate area.
Have a wonderful week!

Science Olympiad
We are excited to launch Science Olympiad this year and begin building a dynamic student team ready to take on creative STEM challenges.
Do you think you can build the strongest bridge, launch the farthest rocket, or solve the fastest mystery?
Science Olympiad turns science into an adventure. Students will design, build, experiment, and compete in events spanning biology, chemistry, engineering, earth science, and more. No prior experience is needed; just curiosity, teamwork, and a willingness to try something new.
If your child is interested in joining the team, please reach out to Mrs. Brar at rbrar@lodiusd.net. A parent informational meeting will follow, where families will be briefed on events, expectations, and opportunities for student participation.
We look forward to having your child on our team!

Be Present: Cell Phone Policy Reminder
Phones down, heads up. Creating connections in the classroom.
As we settle back into the routines of school, please help us remind your children that their phones should be put away during school. During school hours, campuses are a "no phone zone" and students will be expected to keep their phones off and put away.
This initiative is designed to support a more focused learning environment while encouraging real, in-person connection outside of the digital world. For more information and answers to frequently asked questions, please visit www.lodiusd.net/be-present.
McNair Tardy Policy
Our Tardy Policy is below. Please remind your students of the importance of being on time to and present in class.
Being on time to class is critical for academic achievement and minimizes disruptions to the learning of others. To help reinforce this expectation, the following progressive steps will be taken when a student reaches his/her 4th tardy in any class:
· 4th Tardy – Meeting with Administrator; Tardy Agreement; Parent Contact
· 5th Tardy – 30-minute After-School Study Session (failure to serve = 1-hour Study Session)
· 6th Tardy – 1-hour After-School Study Session (failure to serve = placement in On-Campus Intervention [OCI])
· 7th Tardy – Student placed in OCI
· 8th Tardy – Student placed on Non-Activities List for 10 school days
· 9th Tardy – Mandatory Parent Conference; Student placed on Non-Activities List for the remainder of the quarter
We are asking for your partnership in encouraging your student to arrive to class on time each day. Together, we can help ensure all students have the best opportunity to learn and thrive.
If you have any questions about this policy, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your support and continued commitment to McNair High School.
