New Staff Annoucement
Welcome Mrs. Bergeron!
I graduated with my B.Ed from the University of Alberta in 2014 and started teaching for Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools in 2015. I have taught from Kindergarten to grade 9 and have found my place in early learning. Having been a reluctant reader myself, who had to work very hard to learn to read independently, I am passionate about supporting students to develop functional literacy skills to support their daily lives. My husband and I moved to the area in 2020 and are raising our 4 kids on a small farm on the northwest side of Gull Lake.
During my time at the school I will be supporting the grade 1 and 2 teams in literacy intervention. I spend my days working with small groups of students to develop reading and writing skills.
When I am not teaching you can find me in my garden or greenhouse, playing board games, baking, sewing, or out for a hike with my family.

Interview with Mrs. Lush by Liam R (Grade 5)
Mrs. Lush is the administrator assistant at Bentley High School. There are 3 people living in the house right now. She lives in Bentley. She also attended Bentley School growing up. Favorite part of the job is interacting with kids and helping the school run untended. The least favorite part of her job is dealing with kid’s messes. Some of her hobbies are sports activities, workouts, playing pickleball & basketball and going outside. One of her proudest moments is when she became a grandma. The things she does to make the school a better place are being kind, cleaning up after other people's messes and picking up garbage. In 10 years she thinks she will have the same job. Her parents inspire her because they raised her to be a good caring person.
