News and Notes

Happy Sunday Funday, Wildcat Families!

What an incredible start to the 2025–26 school year! Three amazing days on campus with our students have been nothing short of inspiring. Day 1 blessed us with a breathtaking Senior Sunrise, while Day 3 brought torrential downpours—proving that no matter the weather, our Wildcat spirit shines bright and our staff knows no limit to swimming in the rain, barefooted, soaking wet all to make sure our students exited campus safely and efficiently. These moments, both calm and chaotic, have blended to make the start of this school year truly unforgettable. If driving up Wildcat Boulevard doesn’t fill you with pride and excitement, it might be time for a check-up or a divine sign that social media has begun to alter your aptitude—because this school, these kids, this staff and this community are something special!

Your feedback matters as we look ahead. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts about the start of the school year and what’s to come. Your voice helps us make Richmond Hill High School the best it can be. Comments from the grapevine are great for clicks and likes, but your honesty and candidness on this form will help us improve through a channeled approach to allow RHHS to intervene and approach feedback with the ferocity it deserves.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we settle into the new school year’s routines. Please remember to follow all posted signs, staff directions, and designated drop-off/pick-up zones. Keeping our traffic flow consistent and orderly not only keeps everyone safe but also helps us start and end the day smoothly. A few extra steps for our students at drop-off /pick-up and courtesy go a long way toward making this a positive experience for every Wildcat family while also allowing us to clear Belfast Keller.

One of the very best ways for students to thrive at RHHS is by getting plugged into our rich array of extracurricular opportunities—fine arts, athletics, clubs, and service organizations. Parents, we need your help encouraging your student to take that first step toward involvement. Check out the section in this week’s Wildcats News You Can Use for details on what’s available, how to join, and who to contact. These programs don’t just fill time—they build skills, friendships, and a stronger school community.

This week we will be on our regular bell schedule. Expect the after-school energy to grow as more activities get underway, and be sure to talk with your student about what they’re excited to explore this year. We want to make sure every student has an opportunity to engage in an activity that interest them - if you are exploring and cannot seem to find opportunities that align with your child's passions please reach out so we can explore ways in which to build that connection.

Traffic Flow - New School, New Patterns. New Flow Traffic Flow - New School, New Patterns. New Flow

Important Traffic Information for Pick-Up and Drop-Off at RHHS

To ensure a smooth, safe, and efficient arrival and dismissal process at the new Richmond Hill High School campus, all student and parent vehicles must enter and exit through the Main Entrance on Belfast Keller Road, near the Spring Sports Complex.

Here’s What to Know:

  • This is the only access point for student drop-off and pick-up.

  • Once on campus, you’ll follow the designated route (highlighted in blue on the map) to loop through and drop off or pick up your student safely. Please be sure to pull all the way up well beyond what the 50 yard line of the track infield would be for both drop-off and pick up. This will allow us to clear Belfast Keller and keep the traffic flowing.

  • After drop-off or pick-up, you’ll exit using the same route to maintain a one-way flow of traffic.

Why This Route Matters:

  • Keeps traffic moving efficiently during busy times. Students must be ready to depart vehicles upon arrival.

  • Prevents congestion near the Main Building and staff parking areas.

  • Prioritizes student safety with clear, organized pathways.

Student Parking Areas are clearly marked along the route (Lots A–F) and are accessible for those who drive themselves. Students parking in Lot B should take the 3rd exit off the round-a-bout to enter their parking area, this will allow us to avoid overlapping student drivers and parent drop-off.

Thank you for helping us create a safe and smooth experience for everyone as we begin this exciting new chapter at 500 Wildcat Blvd!

At Richmond Hill High School, we believe that learning extends far beyond the walls of a classroom. With the launch of a new school year and the excitement of a brand-new building on the horizon, now is the perfect time for students to explore something new, build connections, and ignite their passions through our vibrant extracurricular offerings!

From championship athletics and award-winning fine arts programs to leadership-focused CTSO organizations, purpose-driven clubs, and community-centered service groups, RHHS has something for every Wildcat. Whether you're interested in robotics, chorus, student government, football, HOSA, eSports, lacrosse, drama and many more—your future teammates, mentors, and memories are waiting.

MCV-4 Important Information MCV-4 Important Information

At the age of 16, Georgia requires that your student receive the booster to the MCV4 vaccine.

If they do not receive the MCV4 booster on or after the age of 16, their immunization record, Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231), will expire.

If you have not already scheduled an appointment for your student to get their vaccines updated, please contact your healthcare provider or the Bryan County Health Department at 912-756-2611 to arrange the MCV4 booster.

Meningococcal disease is a serious bacterial illness that affects the brain and causes shock, coma and death within hours of the first symptoms. Georgia law requires students be vaccinated against this disease.

Please provide an updated copy of the Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231) once the MCV4 booster is completed. This document will become a part of your student’s permanent record once it is received by the RHHS clinic staff.

Contact your healthcare provider or the Bryan County Health Department with any questions related to the MCV4 Booster.
