ID Requirement for All Visitors
For the safety of our students and staff, all adults entering the building must present a valid form of identification. Please ring the doorbell and hold your ID (such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport) up to the camera for verification. Once your ID is confirmed, the door will be unlocked for you. Upon entry, proceed directly to the front office to sign in. We appreciate your support and cooperation in helping us keep our campus safe and secure.
Principal's Corner
Dear Cielo Vista Families,
As we get closer to Thanksgiving Break, we’re continuing to focus on keeping up strong attendance and active participation. Let’s make the most of this month by showing up, staying involved, and enjoying all the great things happening at school!
We really appreciate your continued support in helping make November a meaningful and memorable month for our students. As we head into the holiday season, we wish you and your family good health, safety, and happiness.
Just a quick reminder during our November Attendance Challenge, it’s super important for students to be here all day, every day, so they can stay on track and succeed in their learning.
Warm regards,
Maria Guerra

November Challenge
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to remind families of the importance of having students in school every day and for the entire day. Consistent attendance is one of the strongest predictors of academic success. Please try to schedule appointments and family activities during non-school hours or on days off so that students can make the most of their learning time.
To help encourage great attendance, we are launching our November Attendance Challenge!
Students who have:
-
No absences (excused or unexcused),
-
No tardies, and
-
No early checkouts (excused and unexcused)
for the entire month of November will earn a special reward!
These students will be able to invite two guests to have lunch with them on December 5, 2025, during their lunch hour. Bring your sack lunch to enjoy with your child.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure your child’s success by prioritizing daily, on-time attendance!
Sincerely,
Principal
Ms. Guerra
Attendance Procedures
Dear Bobcat Families,
Please make sure your child attends school every day—their attendance truly matters and plays a key role in their success. If your child is absent, you may report the absence by using the QR code provided or by sending an email to cielovista_notes@episd.org. Please note we are no longer accepting phone calls to excuse absences. A written form of communication either by email or using the QR code is now required.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership!

Hello Cielo Vista Community,
As we move through November, we want to remind everyone how important positive behavior is to creating a safe, respectful, and fun learning environment. Please take a moment to talk with your child about showing kindness, following school expectations, and making good choices both in and out of the classroom.
We’re so proud of our students’ hard work and growth, and with your continued support, we can keep making our school a place where everyone feels valued and ready to learn. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community!
Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at cfierro1@episd.org or 915-236-8375.

As we enter the flu and cold season, here are a few guidelines to consider when to keep your child home from school. Please help us keep all our little Bobcats healthy.
2.They are vomiting or have diarrhea, especially if it is frequent. Many guidelines say: stay home until at least 24 hours after the last episode and be able to keep fluids/food.
3.They have a persistent or severe cough, trouble breathing, or other respiratory distress.
4.They are too ill to participate in normal activities (e.g., very tired, pale, unusually irritable, not eating) or need more care than the school can provide.
5.They have a contagious illness (e.g., diagnosed with strep throat, conjunctivitis/pink eye, chickenpox, etc.) where school or daycare policy says they must remain out until cleared.
6.They have a rash of unknown causes plus other symptoms that could indicate a more serious illness.
