Dear NPS Community,
As Memorial Day weekend approaches, we pause to honor and recognize the Americans who lost their lives serving our nation. This holiday gives us an opportunity to remember those who gave so much for our country, and reflect on their service.
In our schools, students spend time learning about Memorial Day and the ways communities honor those who served. Today our seventh graders continued a meaningful tradition and worked alongside the Office of Veterans' Affairs to place American flags at the graves of local veterans.
On Monday, at 10:45 AM, our high school marching band will be parading from CVS (Pond Street) to City Hall to perform the "Armed Forces Melody" at City Hall's Memorial Day Event.
I hope you and your families have a peaceful holiday weekend and take time to remember the individuals whose service continues to shape our nation today.
