Connect with your CFA!
📞Upon enrollment, you will be assigned to an OVCA staff member that lives relatively close to you. They will be your Community Family Advisor (CFA). They will be making a concentrated effort to reach you by phone, email or text within the first 10 days after you have enrolled with OVCA. Please reply to any of their communications promptly. They will provide you with much needed assistance and guidance in getting set up for success this school year. If they do not know the answer to your questions, they will do their best to find the best staff member to assist you.
Your CFA will also be communicating with you soon regarding upcoming in-person and virtual events and outings!

🧑🏻‍🎓Student ID Number
Not sure where to find your student’s ID number? This article shows you how to locate it, whether you’re a Legal Guardian using the Enrollment Portal or a student or Learning Coach using your K12 School (OLS) account. You and your student will use this ID throughout the year.
First Couple of Weeks with OVCA - Things to Know
Once your enrollment is approved, you will begin receiving communications directly from OVCA regarding your first few days/weeks of school.
"Welcome Week"
The week prior to your official school start date, your student is in their "Welcome Week". This is when your assigned CFA will be communicating with you and assessing any needs you may have.
"Start Date & Orientation Week"
You have been communicated your official school start date with OVCA. This "start date" is your first day of school with OVCA. You will typically be assigned an Orientation Class to attend LIVE. Watch for this on your Launch Pad. You will see your Class Connect (CCs) sessions in 3 different spots, highlighted in green in the image below.
In addition to your Orientation class, you will also be assigned to complete your beginning of the year assessments. Your teacher will send you information regarding those assessments. Your typical daily course work will not usually begin until both your Orientation Class and your Assessments have been completed. Reach out to your teacher or your CFA for any assistance in completing these requirements.
NOTE: High school specifics for your first week will be very different from Elementary grade levels specifics. Pay close attention to what your teacher outlines for you in your Orientation session.
