Introducing MOST-DC: Your One-Stop Afterschool & Summer Program Hub!
The My Out of School Time DC (MOST-DC) platform makes it easy for families to find afterschool and summer programs. This new, user-friendly, centralized system allows parents to search for programs by home address, school, cost, ward, and grade—streamlining the process so busy families can quickly find what they need. Starting in the 2025-26 school year, DCPS afterschool program registration will take place through MOST-DC. Learn more at MOST.DC.GOV – brought to you by the Learn24 Network.
3rd Annual Summer in the City 2025 – March 29 at MLK Library, 11 AM-2 PM
The Office of Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes (OST Office), located in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education, will convene government agencies, nonprofit organizations, families, and other stakeholders to share valuable information about the opportunities that are available to D.C. youth during the school year. District youth and families will have the chance to hear directly from approximately 60-80 partners about different programming, learning experiences, jobs, internships, and more. This event is hosted by the Learn24 network which supports and advocates for high-quality afterschool and summer programming for all school-aged youth in the District.
District Families can expect to gather resources about:
Summer and out of school programming
Summer jobs and internships
Learning experiences
Fun activities to participate in while out of school this summer
And more
For any questions or concerns, please email learn24@dc.gov.

We’re Hosting Career Day(s) on May 29-30 — And We Need Your Help!
We are looking for parents, family members, and community professionals to share their careers and experiences with our students. This is a wonderful opportunity to inspire the next generation and help them explore different career paths.
Due to space limitations, Career Day will be split into two separate events this year:
Outdoor Career Day: Thursday, May 29, from 8:45 to 11:30 a.m. at Phelps Field (26th Street)
Indoor Career Day: Friday, May 30, from 8:50 to 10:40 a.m. at J.O. Wilson ES (810 26th Street NE). If you or someone you know is interested in presenting, please contact Massiell Guzman (Massiell.GuzmanFrias@k12.dc.gov) or Victoria Winter (Victoria.Winter@k12.dc.gov).
We are currently seeking volunteers to help make both days a success! Parent participation is especially appreciated — the more, the merrier! On the first day, students will travel by foot to Phelps Field, and our younger scholars will need extra support along the way. Please contact Ms. Guzman if you are interested in volunteering on either day. We appreciate your support in making this a fun and meaningful event for our students!
