Did you know your holiday trash could become a brand-new bench at Richmond?

Before you toss those Amazon mailers and plastic shopping bags, help us turn them into something amazing!!!! We’re getting closer to earning our Trex bench with every bag you send in!

As the holiday season kicks into gear, don’t throw away all those Amazon mailers, shopping bags, and plastic packaging that seem to pile up this time of year. Instead, donate them to Richmond for our Bags to Benches Recycling Challenge!

Our students have already collected 372.78 pounds of plastic which is amazing progress toward our goal of 1,000 pounds to earn a Trex bench made from recycled materials. We are currently 627 pounds away, and every bag truly makes a difference.

All classrooms have collection bins, and we appreciate your help sending in clean, dry, food-free plastic bags and film throughout the month.

Thank you for supporting our Student Council and helping Richmond recycle with purpose this holiday season!

The Mobile Dentist is coming to Richmond on 1/22/26 and 1/23/26

Hi! We have some important news about your child’s health!

Our school has arranged for a dental team to come right to the school.

They do a cleaning, dental screening, fluoride and sealants. If you have insurance, please fill out the information and we will have the dentist run it through insurance. There is no charge if you have Medicaid/AllKids but they do need your child’s recipient ID number.

By seeing the in-school dentist, you can keep your child healthy, in school, and learning.

Plus, it’s easy and convenient for you.

Simply go to www.myschooldentist.com or fill out and sign the permission form coming home this week in your student’s backpack and return it to the school with your child.

Please return the completed and signed form by Jan 6, 2026.
