Bustin' Up The Winter Blues!
Sources of Strength held a Winter Blues Buster the last week of January to brighten up the halls in the dark days of winter. Students had dress-up days and decorated the hallways with positive messages for the different seasons.
One of the dress up days asked students to dress up as their mentor, or a favorite teacher or coach, a parent or just someone they look up to. Two of our students NAILED it! We have Izzy W who dressed as Mrs. Ransom and Kyrie who chose Mr. Schumacher to twin with! Am I seeing DOUBLE?
Students decorated the hallways according to their season including various sources of strength.
Dress Up days and Hall Decorating winners were the Juniors! Congrats! They will be given treats from SOS next week!
OoMPA Chili Supper Support Appreciated
The weather can't keep the Omro Community down! Students were informed last Thursday afternoon that due to the extreme cold expected, school would be closed the next day, it didn't stop OoMPA supporters from making it out to their annual Chili Supper! While numbers were down, Omro still showed up to support Omro's music program! Chili and pasta were served along with breadsticks and a drink, and there was pie also available. Thank you so much to those who braved the chilly air to partake in a warm and hearty meal for a great and important cause, as well as those who came to help and serve! Very much appreciated and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
