Greetings!

I hope all our families have been enjoying the summer break! At the Viking School we are still under a lot of construction! Our Introduction to Kindergarten students are attending at Lewis & Clark Elementary with two of our teachers, Ms. Ramlo and Mrs. Urlaub. We will be sending out the teacher letters to students next week announcing who they will have as a teacher in the fall! That is always exciting!

Ms. Desi Jevning retired in July and is on to her next adventure in life! Congratulations to her! We have hired Mrs. Dana Litz as our new Viking secretary. She is excited to begin her school year in this new position! She had worked in our library previously. Please stop by and introduce yourself to her!

Doors open at 7:40am for students to come eat breakfast

8:20am the first bell rings for students to go to their classrooms

8:25am second bell rings if students are not in the classroom they will be marked tardy

3:00pm Dismissal

Grades 4 & 5 will dismiss by the relocatables on south side of the school

Grades 2 & 3 will dismiss out door 1 in front of the school north side

Grades 1 will dismiss out to the blacktop on the south side of the school

Kindergarten will dismiss out door 2 on the south side of the school

If your child is going to be absent, please remember to call the attendance line, 701-746-2210.

Grand Forks Schools have entered a contract with the Valley Bus Company. Viking School provides bussing for students on the west side of South Washington Street. Bussing will be free to students. More information to come for families that will be utilizing the bus.

There is a lot going on at the school this summer. Crews are working hard to get everything done before our first day of school! Mrs. Litz and I are in the office so if you have questions please call. If you need to come in to the office please call and give us the time you will be coming in so we can meet you at door 1. This way we can get you through the construction safely. Thanks!

Parents Forever is a family transition program for parents as they continue to parent together through divorce or separation, parents who are divorced and experiencing challenges with co-parenting, and for never-married parents when they decide to parent apart. The cost for this class is $55.00. This is the only class we charge for.
