From Your Principal

Dear Challenger Families,

Thank you for entrusting the Challenger staff with your precious children. It was truly a joy to see the beautiful smiles on their faces on the First Day of School. Their happiness and enthusiasm warmed our hearts and made every moment worthwhile.

We are thrilled to partner with you in shaping your child’s journey—nurturing their curiosity and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.

Safety is the top priority of our students, parents, and staff.

Morning Drop Off Procedures:

Please follow all SAFETY protocols requested by Challenger staff members.

Morning:

• You may drop off your child between 7:15 am and 7:30 am at the school front gate.

• Ms. Valdez, the school principal, and staff will be at the front gate to greet your child and direct them to the cafeteria. There will be staff members on duty inside the cafeteria to monitor the safety of your child.

• Parents are encouraged to use the drive through drop off area where Mr. Escobar, school security, is at the crosswalk.

• Parents may park and walk students to the school’s front gate. Please cross in the marked crosswalks.

• Handicapped parking located adjacent to the front entrance of the school. (Please call the office to request a handicapped parking pass)

Dismissal/Parent pick up Procedures:

• The classroom teacher will walk students to the grass area next to the drive through pickup area. Students must wait with their teacher and will be called up to their car by a Challenger staff member. Students will not be allowed to be picked up outside of the designated drive through pick up area.

• Parents who are parking and picking up their child at the front gate, we kindly ask that you wait outside the gate for the teachers and students. All teachers will walk their students outside the gate area. Parents please let your child’s teacher know that you are there and will be taking them home.
