PRAYER TO ST. THERESE🌹🙏
O Little Thérèse of the Child Jesus, please pick for me a rose
from the heavenly gardens and send it to me as a message of love.
O Little Flower of Jesus, ask God to grant the favors
I now place with confidence in your hands . ..
(mention in silence here)
St. Thérèse, help me to always believe as you did in
God’s great love for me, so that I might imitate your “Little Way” each day.
Amen
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL 😁
Dear Bruin Family,
As we move through another exciting season of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank our entire community for the incredible success of this year's Fun Run campaign. The enthusiasm, generosity, and support shown by our students, families, and sponsors have been truly inspiring. We are thrilled to celebrate these efforts at our Fun Run event next Friday and look forward to seeing our students enjoy the fruits of their fundraising accomplishments.
While we have already achieved remarkable success, we are not quite finished yet! We remain focused on reaching our stretch goal of $70,000, and every contribution helps us get one step closer. Thank you for continuing to support our school and the many programs and opportunities these funds make possible for our students.
As a reminder, progress reports will be sent home next week. These reports provide an important snapshot of student progress and are a valuable opportunity for families to partner with teachers in supporting continued academic growth and success.
I would also like to personally invite all parents to attend our State of the School Meeting next week. This annual presentation is an opportunity to learn more about the financial health of our school, hear updates on current initiatives, and gain insight into our plans and vision for the future. We value transparency and partnership, and we hope to see many of you there.
Thank you for your continued support, trust, and commitment to St. Dorothy School.
Sincerely,
Mr. Ryan Nearhoff

UPCOMING EVENTS
MORNING DROPOFF 🚗
We are grateful for the partnership we share with our school families and appreciate the time you take each morning to help your child begin the day successfully.
Parents are more than welcome to walk into the campus for morning drop off between the hours of 7:45am-8:10am. However, we kindly ask that after drop-off, parents refrain from lingering in the courtyard or classroom areas and allow teachers to begin their instructional routines.
Our teachers' primary responsibility during this time is supervising students and ensuring a safe, productive start to the school day. Many classes begin with bell work and other learning activities immediately upon arrival, and excessive noise in the courtyard can be distracting to students who are already engaged in their work.
If you would like to speak with your child's teacher regarding a question or concern, please email the teacher directly to arrange a meeting at a mutually convenient time. This helps ensure that teachers can give your concerns their full attention while maintaining appropriate supervision of students.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support as we work together to provide the best possible learning environment for all students.

Legal limitations around photos in public
It is important for parents to know that, with only a few exceptions, it is legal for strangers to take pictures or videos of minors in a public space. Public space here is defined as an open indoor or outdoor area that is physically accessible to all such as public parks, sidewalks, beaches and streets. Parents are not required to give consent or sign a release before these images are posted online. In a public space, it is reasonable to question the person taking photos or videos and to ask them to stop and ask them to delete the photos or video. For more information, read the VIRTUS® article “When People Take Photos and Videos of Minors without Permission” at lacatholics.org/did-you-know.
Mission Statement
To educate TK-Eighth grade students in a Catholic environment in which the curriculum emphasizes spiritual, ethical, and social values of the Catholic faith to become responsible and moral citizens within the global community.
Philosophy
Supporting the belief that parents are the primary educators of their children, we as educators at St. Dorothy Catholic School, dedicate ourselves to partner with the parents in preparing children to become contributing members of the community. To achieve this, we provide holistic development in psychological, emotional, social and physical health, with an emphasis on academics, faith, and Christian service.
In collaboration with parents, we champion student achievement through the presentation, practice, and study of Catholic doctrine, a strong academic curriculum, multimedia and multi-cultural experiences, physical education, extracurricular programs, and the dedicated commitment of the teachers and staff.
