Dear Primary Parents,

Last night we welcomed our new class of Kindergarten students! It was wonderful meeting everyone and we look forward to August! It will be here before we know it. Returning student registration will be out soon!

Has your child been absent? Email mfullen@lvisd.org to email your note! This will avoid any lost notes in backpacks! We must receive the note within 3 days of the absence because we close the books every 3 days.

Our school hours are 7:25-3:40. Our car line opens at 6:45am daily. Student attendance is taken at 9:30 am daily, please keep this in mind when making appointments. A student must be here at 9:30 am to be counted present for the day. A student may only miss 15 school days total for the year (excused or unexcused.)

We are noticing an uptick in tardy students. Student miss announcements and feel rushed when they arrive late. The tardy bell is 7:25.

Make plans to be at school Friday, April 4! We have some fun things planned including a school wide picnic lunch, free frisbee giveaway, AND Coach Hodge is planning for a bounce castle in the gym! Our grade levels are also planning some fun, hands on events you don't want to miss!

Students will be asked to wear bunny ears for their program at the end of April! We are advertising now, so that you can grab them while the dollar stores have them in stock!

• CONGRATULATIONS to all students who turned in their 600 minutes of reading for the SCHLITTERBAHN WAVES OF PAGES READING PROGRAM. They have earned a FREE ticket to Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels! WAY TO GO! We are very proud of you. Tickets will be delivered to students in April.
• Our LITERATI BOOK FAIR will be April 21-25! Once again we'll have extended after school hours for families who want to shop together. We look forward to seeing you there! Details will be sent home when the date nears.
