Students in Mr. Hammond’s and Mrs. McLaughlin’s Social Studies and English classes presented their Holocaust Research projects this week in the library. The project was made up of four components: Research, Essay, Visual and Presentation. Great job 8th graders!

STEAM club came to a conclusion with a rocket launching party. Students built, designed, and then used water pressure to launch their rockets sky high! What a blast!

Low Brass won the Best Section Award!

The students in Mr. Dilks’s coding 2 class created original software by using the Python programming language. Each student was required to write the programs by hand using only text-based coding. All together, over 3,500 lines of code were written. Fernwood Avenue students were then asked to play these games and vote for their favorite. The winning coders were Andrew Golley and Bryan Daniel-Perez. They both received a certificate of awesomeness and a prize! Congratulations!
