Teacher Researcher Collaborative

You're invited to join the first San Diego Science Project (SDSP) Teacher Researcher Collaborative (TRC) of the new school year on Wednesday, 9/4/24 from 4:00-5:30 pm.

What is the TRC?

TRCs are held monthly as hybrid events to connect with researchers at UC San Diego to learn about the latest research in science, engineering, and education.

This Month's Topic: Beyond 70℉ and Sunny: What Local Weather Stations Can Teach Us About Local Microclimates

Presenter: Alexander Weyant, SoCal Heat Hub, Scripps Oceanography

Description: Learn how data from a network of weather stations can directly teach us about local microclimates and weather phenomena. See how data from weather stations at local schools and in neighborhoods can engage your students with meteorological and climate phenomena from Grades 3 through 12. Connect with other teachers and share learning with Understanding Global Change.
