Ms. Nassaney's class had their VIP visit from Ralph last week. It was a fun-filled afternoon with PJ's, dog bingo and goodie bags.
Moving?
Please contact Mrs. Schneider at dschneider@summit.k12.nj.us to let us know if you are moving within or outside of Summit this summer. This helps us to make arrangements for our first-grade classes at one of our five elementary schools.

- Pre-K students working on a ladybug project as part of their "Gardening/Insects" theme
- Kindergarten students counting and using vocabulary such as days of the week, color words, and clothing in Spanish
- Mr. Dan's Class: With the warm weather this week, students are ready to play weather games with Boom Cards by Boom Learning!
Mrs. Abramov, School Librarian: This week in library class your child learned about Asian American Pacific Islander Month for May. We explored Asian American Pacific Islander cultures through books, music, and food, and practiced forming questions that begin with "Why" or "How."I read the story Amy Wu and the Perfect Bao by Kat Zhang and Bee-bim Bop! By Linda Sue Park. Both books share special family recipes for Baos and Bee-Bim Bop (mixed up rice, meat and vegetables). Ask your child what Bee-Bim means - mixed up and Bop - rice. Take some time to share how your family celebrates your family's history. Next week is the last library day for checking out books. Please make sure your child returns the library book in order to get one last check out as a kindergartner. Happy Reading!
