Health News

"Hand washing is the single most important means of preventing the spread of infection." Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

As your child grows, they will continue to learn about the importance of cleanliness and how the role of proper hand washing plays in preventing the spread of infection. We practice and daily instill the healthy habit with your children to wash their hands with soap and water: before and after eating, after using the bathroom/toilet, after playing outside and simply when in need. We also encourage proper cough and sneeze techniques/etiquette as a healthy part of germ control.

They are truly amazing at catching on! Please encourage your child to continue this practice every day at home as well.

In the weeks ahead, I will be visiting classrooms with some fun interactive role playing about GERMS!

Included below are fun age-appropriate resources to share with the family (and dance along with)!

Please use our absence line (978-251-5188 Option 0) to report your child's absence from school and be sure to state the reason for the absence (illness, appointment, travel, etc).

Nurse Kristen can be reached by calling the CHIPS main number (978-251-5188) and selecting option 3.
