We Will Rock You, and Read to You
Mission View Elementary ROCKED Read Across America Week in the most unforgettable way. The annual Rockin' Read In at Mission View took on a whole new level this year with an all-star assembly that brought down the house. The MV Strings Ensemble had the entire gym pumped with a performance of Queen's "We Will Rock You," confetti flew, Apple Blossom Royalty cheered and the teacher dancing was UNREAL.
And if that wasn't enough β the crowd gave an extra special celebration to a very beloved birthday boy: Mission View Principal Jeff Jaeger!
After all the excitement, students filled the hallways in full rock star style β wigs, shades, and all β and settled in to do what the day is really all about: reading together.
This is what happens when you mix a love of literacy with an absolutely legendary school community. Mission View, you never disappoint.
Here's to reading, rocking, and the unlimited potential inside every one of our students
WSD Students Take Center Stage at Regional Art Show
This spring, the work of Wenatchee School District students is on display for the whole community to see β and we couldn't be more proud.
Wenatchee High School students are among the featured artists in the 47th Annual Regional High School Art Show, hosted by the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center in cooperation with the North Central Educational Service District and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. Now in its 47th year, this prestigious showcase celebrates student creativity and artistic talent across the region.
This year, six WHS students earned recognition for their outstanding work β and four received Best of Show honors, meaning their pieces will advance to the State High School Art Show in Olympia next month. Two students also earned Central Washington University scholarships for their artwork.

Beauty of Bronze
Also opening this First Friday is the 2026 Beauty of Bronze Showcase, featuring the work of WSD 5th graders. Beauty of Bronze is a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring young people through the hands-on experience of crafting their own bronze sculptures. Participating students visit public sculptures throughout the community, connect with the art around them, and display their finished pieces at the museum β building creativity, community pride, and a deep appreciation for public art.
This is Unlimited Potential on display β literally. We invite every family and community member to come out and celebrate the extraordinary young artists in our schools.

Panthers Earn State Academic Championship β On and Off the Court
Wenatchee High School's Boys Basketball team has something to celebrate that goes beyond the scoreboard.
The Panther Boys Basketball program has been named the 4A WIAA Academic State Champions, earning the highest combined GPA of all 4A boys basketball teams in Washington State β an outstanding 3.742.
That number represents late nights balancing homework and practice, the discipline to show up fully in the classroom and on the court, and a team culture that takes both seriously. These young men didn't just build something special this season β they set a standard for what it means to be a student athlete at Wenatchee High School.
Coach Drake will lead the team to the WIAA 4A State Championships on March 7 at the Tacoma Dome, where they will be recognized during the 4A State Championship game in front of a statewide audience.
We couldn't be prouder. Please join us in congratulating the Panther Boys Basketball team on this well-earned honor. WE Are Wenatchee. ππ
