A Message From Your Principal
Welcome, Cedar Point Families!
On behalf of our entire staff, I am delighted to welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year at Cedar Point Elementary School! Whether you are returning to our Cheetah family or joining us for the first time, we are excited to begin another year of learning, growth and success together.
Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working diligently to prepare for an outstanding school year filled with engaging learning experiences, meaningful relationships, and opportunities for every child to thrive. We look forward to partnering with you to ensure all students feel safe, supported, challenged and valued.
As we begin this new school year, I encourage every family to stay connected, remain involved, and communicate regularly with your child's teacher. Together, we look forward to creating a positive and successful educational experience for every student.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day. We are excited to welcome our students and look forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth.
Once a Cheetah, Always a Cheetah!
Warmly, đź’›

August 24
- First Day of School! Welcome back!
Back to School Packets
We ask that all families log in to ParentVUE and complete the Back to School Packet as soon as possible. The packet must be completed by September 18, 2026.
The information you update in ParentVUE helps us support your student and maintain a safe and connected school community. One of the most important steps is reviewing and updating your emergency contacts. Accurate emergency contact information allows us to quickly reach parents, guardians, and trusted adults if an unexpected situation arises.
While completing the Back to School Packet in ParentVUE, please take a few moments to verify:
- Parent/guardian contact information
- Emergency contacts
- Phone numbers and email addresses
- Medical and health information
- Any other information that may have changed since last school year
Download These Apps for a Smooth School Year
ParentVUE
ParentVUE has transitioned to a new version of its app. Families should download the version labeled “ParentVUE (New)” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. ParentVUE is your one-stop shop to manage your child's information, complete the Back to School Packet, check grades and more! You can also download directly here.
EZArrival
EZArrival helps you track your child's bus arrival and departure times. The former EZ A2B bus tracking app has been renamed EZArrival for the 2026-27 school year. Families should search for “EZArrival” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or download it directly here.
MySchoolBucks
The MySchoolBucks app makes adding money to your child's lunch account easy! You can also track meal balances and see everything your child is purchasing during for breakfast/lunch at school! You can download it here.
Dismissal Procedures for 2026-27
Our school hours will remain the same this year, from 8:45 a.m. - 3:25 p.m. If you need to pick your child up for early dismissal or make changes to the way your child should be dismissed, please make sure to let the front office know BEFORE 3 p.m.
We will not be able to call students down for early dismissal or make changes to dismissal requests after 3 p.m.
You can call the front office (703-365-0963) or send an email to Mrs. Quinn (QuinnEK@pwcs.edu) and your child's teacher with any dismissal or attendance concerns or changes.
From Your School Nurse
Medication Authorization
If your child will need to have medication administered at school during the 2026-27 school year, you will need to bring in original labeled prescription bottles or sealed/unopened over-the-counter medication, along with a completed medication authorization form for our school nurse during regular school hours.
Students can NOT bring in medications themselves.
If you have any questions, please contact Nurse Michele Natoli at NatoliM@pwcs.edu.
Clinic Needs
Our clinic is in need of extra clothing - specifically boys shorts, pants (especially elastic-waist) and underwear. If you are able to donate any of them or other items for our clinic, please drop them off in the front office any time during school hours, or send them in with a note with your student.
Thank you for your support!
Meal Applications Available Now
Free meals are available for eligible students in Prince William County Public Schools. To receive these benefits, families must apply for meal assistance each school year. Applications filed last year cover students only during the first few days of school. Children from households that meet Federal Income Guidelines shown in the online application are eligible for free meals.
The fastest way to apply for free meal benefits for your child is to apply online:
Complete the application in English.
Complete this application in Spanish.
Online applications are typically processed within 48 hours of submission. Please fill out your application as soon as possible.
Households receiving SNAP or TANF for their children, or who have foster children, may not have to fill out an application. School officials will notify households of children who do not need to apply.
Please contact the PWCS Food and Nutrition Department with any questions.
