February Focus: GPA, SATs, and Future Success
With a new semester underway, now is the time to refocus and set academic goals. Your GPA and SAT score can open (or close) doors—scholarships, college acceptance, and future opportunities all depend on the effort you put in today.
✅ A 3.0 GPA or higher is required for Eagle Scholars, but more importantly, it’s the key to college admission and scholarships.
✅ SAT scores also play a major role—for example:
📌 1200+ SAT → $1,500 Michigan Competitive Scholarship
📌 1300+ SAT → Full ride at CMU (Centralis Scholar Award)
📌 1350+ SAT → $10,722 MSU Evelyn Gilmore Scholarship
🎓 The higher your GPA & SAT, the more money you earn for college!
Use this semester to stay ahead—attend study sessions, complete assignments on time, and take SAT prep seriously!

How to Raise Your GPA This Semester
✔️ Commit to 30 extra minutes of studying per day—small habits add up!
✔️ Use your resources—attend study sessions, use Varsity Tutors, and ask teachers for help.
✔️ Turn in every assignment—zeroes are GPA killers!
✔️ Challenge yourself—higher GPAs open more opportunities for AP/Honors classes.
✔️ Develop strong habits now—colleges look at your transcript as early as 9th grade.
