LA STUDENT & FAMILY NEWSLETTER
Week of 09.28.26 - 10.02.26
Hello Lee Academy Community,
Welcome back to another wonderful week of learning and fellowship on the Lee Academy campus.
Homecoming 2026! October 9th & 10th feature our HC athletic contests, with a Homecoming Bonfire and Grilling event slated for Friday, October 9th (see flyer below).
Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration at LA: We are pleased to welcome representatives from the nearby Passamaquoddy Tribe to join us on campus on Friday, October 9th for a presentation and discussion about Wabanaki Culture. (A special thank you to Mrs. Irish for making the connection for us for this important cultural opportunity). A reminder that Monday, October 12 school is not in session in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day.
New Student Club - Model United Nations! Please see the flyer below for more information on this wonderful opportunity to explore advocacy, debate, and diplomacy right here at Lee Academy!
Student Information: Parents - enrollment information was sent home earlier this school year to provide the school with updated contact and residence information to ensure that our student records are accurate. This information is important for communication purposes. If you are unsure if you have received this paperwork please contact the main office.
Fundraisers: We have several fundraisers currently in action related to Lee Academy - please see the list below as well as additional information for each fundraiser provided in this newsletter: Class of 2027 - Heat Up for Fall, 50/50 Raffle for the LA/MJJH Softball & Baseball Fields, Patriots vs. Packers Tickets Raffle. If you are unsure how to get involved please call the main office at 207-738-2252.
MORNING BELL SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENT: We will be moving away from our Morning Homeroom block with a Bell Schedule adjustment. The Bell for Block 1 will now ring at 7:50 AM - this is also the time when Block 1 begins. Students will continue to arrive on campus starting at 7:10 AM, breakfast will be available from that time until 7:45 AM, and students should be on their way to class for the 7:50 AM start. STUDENTS ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED TO CHECK INTO HOMEROOM IN THE MORNING. However, AFTERNOON HOMEROOM REMAINS and students should continue to report their at the end of the day for announcements, meetings, etc. It will take us a few days this week to get used to this adjustment - this should be reflected campus-wide by the end of the week.
