FULLER FAMILY NEWS
From the Principal's Desk
Fuller Families,
It’s a rockin’ week ahead at Fuller Elementary! 🎸
Wednesday is Unity Day, and we’ll be celebrating together with a schoolwide Unity Pep Rally to show that we are Fuller Stronger Together!
Friday is jam-packed with excitement—it’s the 50th day of school, so dust off those leather jackets, poodle skirts, and slicked-back hair, and join the fun as we celebrate 1950s style! It’s going to be the bee’s knees, daddy-o! Dress in your best 50's style!
Our 3rd graders will be off to the Perot Museum on Friday—what a cool adventure!
Then, wrap up the week with our Trunk or Treat from 5:30–7:30 PM in the Fuller parking lot. We can’t wait to see all our Chap families dressed up and ready for some spooky fun!
And don’t forget—next week is our Pumpkin Parade! We can’t wait to see our halls filled with creative, colorful pumpkins from our amazing students and families.
Have a great upcoming week and remember,
We are Fuller, We are Family!
Thank you,
Nathan Smith

Teacher Feature
Our Teacher Feature this week is STEM Teacher, Jennifer Hicks. Mrs. Hicks had a fantastic activity in STEM this week that really engaged our Fuller Kindergarteners. Kindergarten students had to sequence the story Humpty Dumpty and then work together to build a wall to keep him from falling.
This directly correlates with Kindergarten ELA TEK K.6B: Understanding story sequence — students should be able to retell a story by identifying what happens at the beginning, middle, and end. This also reaches the highest level of Blooms for students to CREATE something based on their learning and background knowledge.
Way to go Mrs. Hicks!

Attendance
Please remember our campus goal is a 95% attendance rate. We want to see every child, every day.
Absences and excuse notifications should be sent to sharrison@aubreyisd.net OR alaster@aubreyisd.net
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance. Per TEA, ADA time is 9:00AM, any student that arrives after 9:00AM, will be counted absent for the entire day of school. Tardy period is from 7:35-8:59AM.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
