The Weekly Words
May 25, 2026
At Noble Elementary, we believe that every student has the right to learn and grow in a safe and respectful environment. We also believe that every student has the power to make positive choices, learn from mistakes, and become stronger leaders in our school community. Noble Elementary empowers all students for college and career readiness through AVID’s schoolwide focus on WICOR, student success skills, and a growth mindset.
This Memorial Day, Noble Elementary School remembers and honors the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country and our freedoms. As we enjoy the long weekend with family and friends, let us take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day through gratitude and remembrance. We wish all of our Noble families a safe, meaningful, and peaceful Memorial Day.
Baby Walker
Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers, gifts, and continuous support! My family is thrilled to share that we welcomed baby Wesley into the world late Friday, May 22, weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches. He has been an absolute delight, and Dakota is already loving his new role as a big brother! While I will be out this week soaking up this precious time away, I will miss you all and look forward to making some appearances at our school-wide events.
Act III
Team,
As we approach the last week of this academic year, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible journey we have undertaken together. This year has been filled with both challenges and triumphs, and I am immensely grateful for your unwavering dedication and hard work!
Your commitment to supporting and nurturing our students has been truly remarkable. The joy and excitement you have infused into their learning experiences have created a vibrant and engaging environment for them to thrive. Your efforts have not only enriched their education but also instilled in them a love for learning that will last a lifetime.
As we reflect upon the past year, I want to emphasize that your leadership has made a significant difference in our students' growth and development. I’m proud to share that Noble students grew on this year’s EOY Acadience, EOY MAP, as well as Math, Science, and ELA Ohio State Tests. These achievements are a clear reflection of your dedication, high expectations, and the culture of perseverance we’ve built together.
It has been an honor to serve as your Principal this year. Our theme, “Restoring Noble Pride," was not just a mantra; it became a reality. Despite every obstacle, we grew stronger and wiser as a school community.
Mr. Walker, M.Ed.
Principal
From the Assistant Principal's Desk
Hi team,
Now, here we are at the final week of school, and while our Allstar assemblies, assessments, Field Day, eyc. are behind us, our work is far from finished. We are dangerously close to our OnePlan goal of staying below 400 referrals for the year, while our chronic absenteeism rate has unfortunately crept back over 25%. Now more than ever, we need a strong collective push to lean into our culture by proactively connecting with students, tightly managing behavior, and making those vital caring calls home.
If you are facing any challenges navigating any EOY activity planning or need assistance troubleshooting any matter, please do not hesitate to reach out. Finally, please consider signing up for one of our four open Dojo Store volunteer slots this week so we can celebrate our students and cross the finish line strong!

Staff Spotlight - Ms. Larson
Born and raised in Washington state, Ms. Larson has fallen completely in love with Cleveland, proudly calling the Noble neighborhood home. Coming from a family that deeply values education, she turned her lifelong dream into reality by earning a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Miami University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University, alongside licensures in early childhood and reading instruction.
When she isn't in the classroom, she is an avid reader who loves getting cozy with her e-reader, as well as letting her creativity shine through knitting and diamond painting. To recharge, Ms. Larson enjoys staying active by taking long walks with her two beloved pups, Astrid and Walter Bishop. A true lover of the color pink, her vibrant personality shines through in everything she does, right down to her favorite icons, Dolly Parton and Daisy Duck.

Communication Plan - Persons with Disabilities
The District has adopted a plan for communications with persons with disabilities, which is available at the following link: Communication Plan. The plan establishes procedures to ensure that the District's communications with persons with disabilities, including applicants, participants, members of the public, and companions with disabilities, are as effective as its communications with others.
EOY Data Analysis
Now that most of the OST/EOC results are available, I wanted to reshare two resources that can be especially helpful when reviewing your data: the Spring 2026 OST Blueprint and the Spring OST Before, During, After + FAQ document.
Since we cannot see the actual OST questions students received, the Blueprint can help teams better understand:
the standard being assessed
the question type students encountered
HQIM alignment
quarter/pacing alignment
One especially helpful feature is that the standards within the Blueprint are hyperlinked. Clicking on a standard will take you directly to previously released OST questions connected to that skill, making it easier to picture the types of questions students may have encountered.
The Before, During, After + FAQ document also includes support for accessing CRS reports, printing student reports, managing rosters, and navigating available OST reporting tools.
If you would like support interpreting data or planning next instructional steps using the OST Blueprint or Data Summary Worksheet, I’d be happy to partner with you. You can sign up for an Instructional Data Support Session using this form.

Move One Up Permission Slip Tracker
I just sent an update out to our chaperones and wanted to keep this group in the loop as well.
So far, we have under 101 student permission slips returned. I would love for us to make one final push this Tuesday so we can get as many students to join us as possible!
Attached is the permission slip, and you can track who has already signed up on the second tab of the spreadsheet. Classroom teachers and chaperones, please print and deliver slips to any students who haven't turned theirs in yet. Remind families that if cost is an issue, they can reach out to me directly, as we have some funds available to support student participation.
Clarity Cohort - 26-27
If you have not yet participated in the Clarity Cohort and are interested in joining next year, please add your name to the interest form. You only need to do this once.
If you have already been part of the Clarity Cohort (last year or this year), you do not need to add your name here.
