Notes from Dr. Denson
Hello Parents & Guardians,
Spring is in the air, and with it comes a renewed sense of energy and excitement! As the days grow longer and the flowers begin to bloom, our students are also blossoming—demonstrating the incredible growth they’ve made this school year.
With the month of April comes an important time for our students to showcase their learning through our upcoming assessments. From April 9-17, students will complete their iReady Benchmark 3 assessment, which helps us measure their progress and guide instruction for the remainder of the year. Then, from April 29-May 9, students will take the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) test, an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in core subjects on grade level standards.
You can support your child’s success by ensuring they get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day. Most importantly, encourage them to do their best and celebrate their hard work.

Arrive: 5:30pm
Concert Starts: 6:00pm
Wear: Dressy Black and White Clothes
6th Grade Choir Concert:
Arrive: 7:00pm
Concert Starts: 7:30pm

*All Choir Students are expected to attend and perform their grade level concert. Concerts are for a grade and are a great way to show off our hard work for our parents!
**6th Grade field trip eligibility depends on concert attendance and behavior in school.

Proposition SCSD
Proposition SCSD is a no-tax-rate increase bond issue that would provide $90 million to improve and maintain our school facilities without raising the current property tax rate.

The Student Clinic is available to all SCSD students and is housed at Blackhurst Elementary.

Jefferson Families, Please call the attendance secretary (636-443-4402) or email Mary Ellen Godfrey (mgodfrey@stcharlessd.org) each day your child will be out of school so that their absence can be marked as excused. Please make contact by 9am. Please provide doctors notes upon return if available.
Important Bus Information
Please remember that students are not to get off at other students' bus stops. They are also not allowed to ride other students' buses. This is a District Policy.
