RCS High School Students Attend Capital Region BOCES Women in the Trades Event RCS High School Students Attend Capital Region BOCES Women in the Trades Event

Capital Region BOCES hosted a Women in the Trades event on Thursday, March 9, at the Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical Education Center (CTE) Albany Campus. The event was attended by Trinity Hulett, Brie Hurlbut, and Elizabeth Brundige, RCS students who may be interested in attending CTE in the coming years and were looking to explore the program. Nationally, women are in demand as an untapped resource to address the skilled worker shortage. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics occupational employment projection expects employment to grow by 8.4 million jobs, and employers are looking to women to fill many of these roles. This is the second consecutive year that Capital Region BOCES is celebrating National Women in the Trades Month (March) with events designed to raise awareness!
