Senior Sponsor News!
We are excited to make this school year a memorable and meaningful one for our seniors! As we look ahead, we want to be intentional about creating opportunities for our students to celebrate their accomplishments, spend time together, and enjoy the special moments that come with senior year.
This year, we are planning two Senior Breakfasts—one during the first semester and another during the second semester. These breakfasts will give our seniors an opportunity to come together, connect, and celebrate their journey as a class.
We are also putting additional effort into creating a bigger and better end-of-year Senior Celebration. Our goal is to make this event a special experience that recognizes our seniors, celebrates all they have accomplished, and gives them a memorable way to close out their final year with us.
As we begin planning, we look forward to partnering with our senior families to make these events as special as possible. More information, including dates, details, and ways families can support or get involved, will be shared throughout the school year.
Thank you for your continued support. We are looking forward to celebrating the Class of 2027 and making their senior year one to remember!

Do you speak another language? You can take a test to get the Virginia Seal of Biliteracy. Upon passing, you will receive a medal to proudly wear at graduation. Registration for the Fall testing session opens September 1. Students may register for it through the Student Opportunities portal in LCPS GO. A confirmation ticket will be sent to the student and the parent/ guardian email on file.

Senior Parents, you have homework!!!! Due by September 2nd at 5:30pm.
September 2nd at 5:30pm is the Senior Parent Presentation in the Auditorium. Prior to attending, please click the link below to watch the “Jump Start 2.0” video. This video is an overview of the “need to know” for the college process and beyond. We will review this information and more during our presentation. Parents can then attend Back to School Night at 6pm.

Richard Bland College Dual Enrollment Registration
Rock Ridge High School and Richard Bland College (RBC) have partnered to offer students the opportunity to earn free dual enrollment college credit.
Information on Registration
One-time application fee: $35 (first-time RBC students only)
Registration deadline: September 15
If the fee creates a financial hardship, please contact your school counselor.

SENIOR ADS- ON SALE NOW WITH EARLY BIRD PRICING!
Senior/baby Ads are available now with EARLY BIRD PRICING- prices will go up Oct. 26. If you would like to place a senior/baby ad to recognize and congratulate your senior in the yearbook, all ads are due by Dec. 19. To buy an ad, all you need to do is go to https://yearbookforever.com, click on “Get Started” under “Create an Ad.” There you will choose your size, upload your pictures, and include your text. The yearbook staff will do the rest for you. Here is an example of previous senior ads.
