Principal's Remarks Principal's Remarks

As we look ahead to the start of the second quarter on November 2, I want to thank our students and staff for a wonderful first quarter and wish everyone a strong start to the next marking period.

It was a delight to see the creativity, imagination, and school spirit reflected in the Halloween costumes students and teachers wore to school on Friday. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day both fun and positive for our school community.

We are also excited to welcome families and community members to American Education Week at Carver, November 16-20. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the incredible teaching, learning, and artistry taking place throughout our school. Please take a moment to review the attached flyer and use the included link to sign up for a visit. All parents will need to have their identification scanned. Your sign up allows us to print visitors badges for those who have already had their license scanned. If you have not yet had your license scanned at Carver, you are welcome to visit us between now and November 13 to have it scanned. This will reduce wait time on the morning of your visit.

We look forward to seeing you at Carver and to another successful quarter ahead!

Event Attendance and Staying After School Event Attendance and Staying After School

Event Attendance

Students who wish to attend evening events must leave the building and return for the event when the doors open.

Staying After School

Any student staying after school must be under the supervision of a staff member or coach. If they are not, they will be asked to leave the building.

These expectations are in place as a safety measure. We will remind students via the announcements and we will sweep the building at the end of the day to ensure that students are with adults. Please remind your students of this expectation and make the appropriate plans with them to ensure they are in a safe location between the end of school and an event. Thank you for your assistance in keeping your child safe.

Picture Day Make-Up Picture Day Make-Up

If your child was absent or needs a make-up picture for another reason, please mark November 18 on your calendar.

Weather and Drop-Off Weather and Drop-Off

Students who are late to school because weather impacted their arrival are tardy to school. Weather related delays are not excused. Please be aware of the weather forecast and plan to leave earlier on impacted days.

Yearbooks Yearbooks

If your child wants a yearbook, they must order by February 19, 2027. We do not order extra yearbooks. The only guaranteed way to ensure your child has one is to order. I stress this because we have disappointed students each year, and I always hope to avoid that.
