APPLY TO THE STEM ACADEMY

Any eighth-grade student in Franklin County is able to apply to the STEM Academy at Louisburg High School.

There is no GPA requirement but you must AGREE to come to school and follow school rules...remember we are preparing you to be a LEADER in Franklin County!

Students accepted to this exciting program will:

• Learn in a HANDS-ON, MINDS-ON learning environment
• Go on Field trips
• Take classes that will prepare them for a UNC/two-year college AND complete at least one career pathway in agriculture, health science, automotive, carpentry, computer science, business, foods and more
• Celebrations and Awards
• and much more!

• A rigorous academic program focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
• Specific STEM classes, 4 each year, with special recognition at graduation
  
• Completion at least one career pathway
• Class content structured around “Engineering Design
• STEM Cohort experience 1:1 with Chromebooks
• Field trips to local businesses and colleges
• and much more!

You can nominate students that you feel would benefit from our program. Just complete the recommendation form and we will reach out to the families.
