Weekly Newsletter: March 2nd - March 6th

Allstar Newsletter- Family
Hi Everyone,
This week is Read across America. Our PTA and Administration have teamed up to create an exciting week of FUN! We have fun activities each day for the students. On Monday we kick off the week with Hats off to reading and the students will start the week off with a BINGO card. Students can wear a hat to school on Monday. Then on Tuesday it is Tacky Tuesday, this means that we all will be mismatched or wearing our clothes backwards. On Wednesday it is Wacky Wednesday and we will show off the craziest hair styles. Thursday is dreaming big Thursday. We want students to dress as their future profession or favorite book character. On Friday it is bring your favorite book and share it with a friend. WE also have fun prizes for the students. Reading is FUN! Thanks to the PTA for helping, like I have said so many times, we couldn't do this without PTA support!
We have decided to try something new this year for kindergarten. Instead of doing kindergarten roundup March 6, we are going to cancel and do a Kindergarten camp June 8 and 9- More details to come.
WE should have a link to pay for the play video very soon so stay tuned and then you can purchase it. We appreciate him doing it for us.
Registration for Race Cats is NOW OPEN please follow the link https://racecats.org/davis-elementary-spring-track/ registration closes April 9th. Practices will be T/Th from 4-5pm out back behind Antelope. If you have additional questions, you can reach out to ashlund21@gmail.com.
Also, Headstart is starting to recruit for preschool if you or you know someone who is interested in it please share with them the information listed on the flyer below.
Term 3 ends this Friday March 6th. It feels like this year has gone by so fast.
Please reach out if there is anything I can do. Thanks for being the BEST school community and for your support and appreciation.
Thanks,
Mrs. Pool
GOAT Staff this WEEK!
Mrs. Carter: One of our fantastic speech and language pathologists! This is her first year at Antelope! She celebrates her birthday in April. When she is in need of a sweet treats she looks for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies or 100 grade candy bars, but when she needs a salty treat it is Chex mix. She loves the smell of any flowers and especially when they are blooming. Her favorite color is green. If she could have any superpower it would be time shifter- insert more time when I need it for fun or important time and shorten other times.
Mrs. Johnson: Our rocking lunch lady! She celebrates her birthday in October. She loves ice cream and bueno bars. When she needs something salty, she will snack on potato chips then drink fresca. She loves the smell of lilacs. Her favorite color is purple.
Mrs. Brennan: She is our fabulous before and after school coordinator teacher! She celebrates her birthday in July. She loves Handels Banana cream pie ice cream. When she wants a sweet treat she finds an almond joy. When she needs a salty snack peppered beef jerky. Her favorite color is pink. She usually has a Dr. Pepper to drink, when she gets fancy its tropic and fireplace. If she could have any superpower, it would be endless energy- because she has children and works with children.
Mrs. Freckleton: She is one of newest 1st grade teachers! She celebrates her birthday in May. She loves cookies and KitKats. When she needs a salty treat it is Dots pretzels. She loves Coke zero when there is a run to Swig/Fizz she orders a Sugar Free North Shore. Her favorite color is green. If she could have any superpower, it would be to control time so she could get more done.
